A delight to work with Telford & Wrekin Council on graphics for a hoarding in Lime Street, Oakengates. The work to transform this site is due to start in July and continue through to 2025. The exciting project will create a new entrance to the high street, new retail units and new parking. The hoarding will be moved to accommodate building works and the graphics re-applied. Proactive Personnel have relocated to Market Street, our graphics help to promote their new location as well as the new 'white box' units that will be available to let in the future.
Sometimes there is no quick fix for a vacant unit…and so it declines further and gives a negative impression of the town. We worked with Telford and Wrekin Council to use inspiring 3D shop graphics and strong marketing messages to show the possibilities for the unit, and that groups are working together to focus on improving the shopping environment. The treatment has three elevations showing shop uses which we would like to encourage to the high street, a toy shop, a homeware shop and a boutique. A hidden lockable door within the graphic door allows access to the unit for viewings. The traders nearby welcome the new look, as it helps to keep the shopping experience positive, part of the “Pride in our High Street” initiative.
Fantastic to see that the old buildings have been demolished and works have commenced for the new transport interchange…the visuals are becoming a reality! Our hoarding shows the exciting design concept that is coming to life, at the same time as keeping the area looking smart and encouraging people to shop local.
Vacant units in the Riverside Shopping Centre, Haverfordwest have been spruced up with Shopjacket treatments. The inspirational 3D images show shop types which are encouraged, such as florists, toy shop, bakers and smoothie bar. The images highlight a strong message – “Grow your business in the Heart of Pembrokeshire”, emboldening potential new businesses and promoting support available. At the same time the treatments are ensuring a positive place experience for the shoppers themselves.
Our hoarding graphics in North Shields are encouraging ‘Shop Local’ and also keeping the high street looking as good as it can while an exciting new town centre regeneration project is underway. The hoarding also shows visuals for the new transport interchange as well as the plans for the wider area. We worked closely with North Tyneside Council to achieve an attractive and informative hoarding which will remain in place while the building works are carried out. They have started to demolish the old retail buildings…exciting times for North Shields in 2022!
As the high streets reopen we were called upon to tidy up the look of these units in Wimbledon for Workman LLP. The design incorporates a hoarding over a recessed doorway, complete with lockable access door. The images draw attention to the letting details and show how fabulous these units could look.
Shopjacket have recently been working alongside Fuse Media, who are commercial property and data connectivity specialists. They have a range of products, one of which can really support the financial implications of vacant units:
Business rates mitigation & avoidance solutions for empty commercial properties. By taking a short term occupation of a commercial property, installing their free Wi-Fi network and projecting adverts they are able to help reduce the property owners business rates.

Buccleuch Properties and Northumberland County Council have used Shopjacket graphics to improve the look of a prominent vacant site in the centre of Hexham.
The Shopjacket graphics on the former Beals show potential and keep the area looking vibrant while plans for redevelopment are made.
Once works progress, the graphics can be reused on the development hoarding itself.
Mitigating the negative impact of such a large empty unit by vibrant graphics showing inspiring shop types. Let’s hope this flag ship store is let soon, until then it is showing it’s potential rather than dragging down the centre.
Shopjacket has transformed 4 brand new units at Vancouver Quarter shopping centre, showing their huge potential.
